Counselling Sessions Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 11 February 2026
Contracting Party
By booking a session through this platform, you are entering into a direct contract with the self-employed therapist who will deliver your therapy session.
The Global Therapy Group SG PTE Ltd acts solely as a facilitator by providing the online booking platform and administrative support. It is not a provider of therapy services and is not a party to the therapeutic contract.
Each therapist works independently and is solely responsible for their own therapeutic work, professional conduct, insurance, and compliance with the standards and ethical frameworks of their relevant UK professional bodies.
Session Fees
Couple Therapy (two people)
£80 per one-hour session (in person or via Zoom)
Individual Counselling (one person)
£68 per one-hour session (in person or via Zoom)
Session fees are reviewed annually. Any changes will take effect from 1 January and will not affect sessions already booked and paid for.
First Bookings & Payment
All first appointments must be paid in full at the time of booking using a valid Credit or Debit Card.
Rebookings & Payment
If you arrange a follow-up session directly with your therapist, the session must still be booked either:
-
via the secure rebooking link provided by your therapist, or
-
as a returning client through the website.
Full payment must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled session.
Cancellations, No-Shows & Late Arrivals
-
Sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled with more than 24 hours’ notice at no charge.
-
Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full and are not eligible for a refund.
-
If you do not attend your session, or arrive more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, the session may be treated as missed and charged in full.
-
No refunds are available for missed sessions or sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
Number of Sessions & Attendance
Weekly sessions are typically recommended, particularly for the first four sessions. Your therapist will review progress regularly and discuss the most appropriate way forward based on your individual circumstances.
Confidentiality
All therapy sessions are confidential and conducted in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and other relevant professional standards.
Confidentiality may be broken where a therapist reasonably believes that:
-
you or another person is at serious risk of harm, or
-
there is a legal obligation to disclose information (for example, a court order or safeguarding requirement).
Supervision
All therapists working via this platform are required to attend regular professional supervision. Therapists may discuss aspects of your therapy anonymously with a supervisor to ensure safe and ethical practice.
Referrals
If your therapist believes your needs fall outside their area of expertise, they may recommend a referral to another professional or service, such as your GP or a specialist provider.
Disclaimer & Nature of Therapy
Therapy is a collaborative process and outcomes vary between individuals. While therapists will work in accordance with recognised professional standards and ethical frameworks, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
Engagement, progress, and results depend on multiple factors, including participation during and between sessions.
Professional Status of Therapists
All therapists listed on this platform are self-employed professionals who:
-
work independently
-
are responsible for their own therapeutic work and professional decisions
-
hold appropriate Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
-
are registered with a recognised UK professional body (such as BACP, UKCP, or HCPC)
The Global Therapy Group SG PTE Ltd does not provide therapy services and accepts no responsibility for clinical decisions or therapeutic outcomes. The therapeutic contract exists solely between you and your chosen therapist.
Client Consent & International Clients
Therapy sessions are delivered by UK-based therapists who practise in accordance with UK professional standards, ethical frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
If you are accessing therapy from outside the UK, by booking a session you confirm that:
-
you understand your therapist is qualified and insured to practise in the UK
-
sessions are delivered in line with UK professional and ethical standards
-
it is your responsibility to ensure that accessing therapy from a UK-based provider is legally permitted in your country of residence
Complaints
Any concerns or complaints relating to the therapy provided should be raised directly with your therapist in the first instance.
Therapists are accountable to their relevant professional bodies, and complaints may be escalated through those bodies where appropriate.
The Global Therapy Group SG PTE Ltd does not investigate, adjudicate, or determine clinical complaints.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Global Therapy Group SG PTE Ltd excludes all liability for any loss, damage, injury, distress, or claim arising from the provision of therapy services.
This includes, without limitation, any indirect, consequential, or non-financial loss.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation or exclusion is not permitted by law.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
