    About Jolanta

Hello, I am Jolanta, a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor specialising in relationship therapy. My approach is rooted in the belief that understanding our thoughts, feelings and patterns of behaviour is key to fostering healthier connections. In our sessions, I draw upon a wide range of therapeutic approaches tailored to your specific needs, including elements of CBT, Person-Centred and Psychodynamic therapy. When working with couples, I incorporate techniques from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Whether you are looking to strengthen your bond or are navigating the difficult process of an amicable separation, I aim to provide a safe and non-judgmental space. We will explore your core values, love languages and early attachment experiences to understand how they influence your current relationship dynamics. My goal is to help you move forward positively, whether that involves resolving long-standing conflicts or managing major life transitions such as infertility, illness or bereavement.

I work in a relational way, focusing on what is happening in the here and now. I endeavour to demonstrate care, empathy and respect at all times. I am not here to judge or take sides. Instead, I aim to help you gain a deeper understanding of each other’s perspectives. I also offer therapy in both English and Polish, ensuring a comfortable experience for clients from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds

    Background & Experience

I have been interested in the workings of the mind, body, and spirit for as long as I can remember. Originally from Poland but living in the UK for most of my life, I bring a wealth of multicultural experience to my practice. Over a 25-year career, I have worked as a qualified teacher, mentor and coach supporting young people, families, and adults from diverse social, cultural, and religious backgrounds, including the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodivergent individuals.

Since qualifying as a therapist, I have gained extensive experience working at the Kingston Women’s Centre, Kingston University, and as a partner counsellor at various private practices. My background in Psychology. Teaching and Special Educational Needs helped me to support clients with ADHD, autism, and learning disabilities effectively.

I am a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their strict ethical guidelines, ensuring the highest standard of service through ongoing supervision and professional development.
