    About Jessica

Hello, my name is Jessica and I am a fully qualified individual and couples counsellor. I am a registered member of the BACP and follow their ethical guidelines, maintaining regular supervision and ongoing professional development to ensure the highest standard of care.

My main focus is relational therapy. This means looking at both your relationship with yourself, such as identity, attachment style, and self-esteem, and your relationships with others including partners, family members, and children. I offer a warm and confidential space where you can explore both current challenges and historic patterns that may be affecting your relationship today.

I do not believe therapy is one size fits all. Every couple brings something unique, so I work collaboratively, adapting the pace, focus, and tools to suit your needs. My aim is to help you understand each other more clearly, communicate more effectively, and find a way forward that feels achievable and fair to both of you.

Where you feel stuck or unsure of what comes next, I help you gain clarity by introducing a range of techniques designed to support safe, productive conversations.

The heart of couples therapy is communication. I help you slow conversations down, listen to each other without interruption, and understand the needs and feelings beneath the surface. This often leads to a deeper awareness of your own patterns as well as your partner’s.

Together, we explore how early life experiences, expectations, and different communication styles can shape how you relate to each other. Understanding these patterns reduces resentment and conflict and creates space for empathy, connection, and change.

I use an integrative approach based on the Petruska Clarkson relational model, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, attachment, and transactional theories as needed.

    Background & Experience

Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in education within both state and private schools. My interest in the emotional wellbeing of students and families led me naturally into therapeutic work.

I trained with Cruse Bereavement Care and have supported people of all ages and backgrounds. I have also worked with survivors of domestic abuse through Sutton Women’s Centre. I am DBS checked, fully insured, and committed to ongoing development to ensure the best possible service.

    How I Can Help

I'll guide you in transforming conflict into opportunities for deeper understanding and connection, enabling more effective communication within your relationship.

I'll help you rebuild trust and emotional intimacy, creating a secure foundation where both partners feel truly seen, heard, and valued.

We'll equip you with practical, evidence-based tools and strategies, inspired by approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy, to sustain positive changes for your future together.

I'll support you in navigating difficult conversations with respect and clarity, empowering you to address sensitive topics calmly and constructively.

We'll work to break free from unhelpful behaviours, fostering new ways of interacting that lead to lasting understanding and a more fulfilling partnership.
