Hello, I’m Andy Spencer, a qualified Relationship Therapist supporting both couples and individuals. I’m also a Supervisor for other Couple Counsellors and an accredited member of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP).
Relationships can be deeply rewarding but also challenging. Stress, family pressures, or emotional disconnection can make it difficult to communicate or feel close. My role is to help you both understand what’s happening, learn new ways to connect, and move forward with greater clarity and respect.
My approach is proactive and supportive. I use a range of tools to help you explore what’s gone wrong, rebuild understanding, or separate more peacefully when needed. I integrate Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, and Person-Centred Counselling within a calm, confidential environment.
As an accredited NCIP member, I follow their ethical guidelines and undertake regular supervision and professional development to ensure the highest standard of care.
I’ve worked with clients experiencing loss, trauma, and anxiety at Sam Beare and Woking Hospices, as well as with Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBS). I also supported survivors of sexual abuse at RASASC in Guildford and provided therapy for anxiety and depression within the NHS.
I continue to train regularly, am DBS checked, and fully insured. I live with my partner and have four grown-up stepchildren.
