Hello, I’m Jo, and I’m a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor specialising in relationship and couples counselling. Integrative Counselling means my approach combines different counselling techniques to suit your specific relationship needs.
I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment where both of you can freely express yourselves and feel heard. It’s important for each partner to have a voice, so I encourage open communication to ensure you both feel heard.
Our therapy sessions are led by you, where we will explore whatever issues you would like, in a way that feels comfortable for you. I understand that starting therapy might feel quite daunting, but I aim to create a warm, welcoming environment to help make the process as relaxed and welcoming as possible.
We’ll begin by discussing what’s brought you to therapy, your concerns, and what your goals are. Whether it’s that you would like help to improve your relationship or are looking for support in separating more amicably. Perhaps you are unsure as to which direction you would like the relationship to take and therefore are looking for clarity.
Throughout our sessions, I’ll support you in improving communication, resolving past and present conflicts, understanding each other’s perspectives, and working towards healthy compromises. If required, we can also explore the root causes of recurring issues, helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourselves and each other. My goal is to equip you with practical skills and insights that lead to a stronger, healthier, more fulfilling relationship.
As a member of the BACP, I adhere to strict ethical standards and regularly engage in professional development to enhance my practice. I am also fully insured and DBS checked.
I decided to train as a therapist because of my own life challenges, which motivated me to support others going through difficult times. Over the years, I’ve helped many couples rebuild their relationships. Alongside counselling, I have experience working in pastoral care, offering support to individuals and couples. My background also includes mentoring young people and managing teams, where I developed a passion for helping others grow. My goal is to support, guide, and nurture those who seek to improve their relationships and well-being.

Welcome, and I’m glad you’ve taken this step towards learning more about relationship counselling. My name is Holly and I’m a fully qualified individual and couples’ therapist with an Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have extensive experience in supporting both couples and individuals through their therapeutic journeys.
At the start of our first session, I will begin by exploring your goal through having therapy. Whether you’re seeking help to strengthen your relationship or whether you are working towards an amicable separation. Perhaps you are looking for to gain clarity about which direction you would like the relationship to take. Whatever it is you are hoping to achieve, I will guide you through this process with empathy and understanding.
As an Accredited member of the NCPS and an individual member of the BACP, I am committed to upholding ethical standards and continually advancing my professional knowledge. This ensures that I provide the highest level of care and support for everyone I work with.
I offer a welcoming, non-judgemental space, regardless of background, sexual orientation, or the unique challenges you face. My approach is centred on fostering open communication between partners in a safe, confidential environment where each person feels heard and valued.
Choosing a couple counsellor can feel overwhelming, but my goal is to make your experience as comfortable as possible. I never take sides; instead, I guide you both in exploring and resolving the issues affecting your relationship. The key to successful therapy is creating a space where you can both openly express your feelings, helping you to reconnect and strengthen your bond as a couple.
After moving around throughout my life, South London became my home for over 20 years before I decided to settle into a quieter life in Reigate, Surrey. My career spanned 22 years in the corporate world of law, but I reached a stage where I wanted to make a more personal impact.
Drawing from my own varied life experiences, I found a passion for helping others navigate their relationships. Whether you’re facing challenges as a couple or seeking clarity in your personal life, I bring my understanding and empathy to support you through this journey. My goal is to guide you in making positive changes.
Creating a Safe, Confidential Space: I will provide a compassionate, non-judgemental environment where you can openly discuss the issues you wish to address. Together, we will prioritise your concerns, ensuring that both of you feel heard and understood as we work through these challenges.
Identifying Your Goals: At the start of therapy, we will explore what you hope to gain from couples’ therapy. Whether your goals involve rebuilding trust, improving communication, or resolving conflicts, we will clarify your vision of a healthier relationship and work towards it together.
Rebuilding Trust and Connection: If trust has been eroded or emotional intimacy is lacking, I will guide you both in rebuilding your connection. This includes working on vulnerability, forgiveness, and re-establishing emotional bonds.
Improving Communication and Conflict Resolution: Effective communication is key in relationships. I will help you develop new ways to express your feelings and listen to each other, as well as offer tools for resolving conflicts constructively rather than through arguments or avoidance.
Providing Practical Tools and Homework: Throughout therapy, I will introduce practical tools and exercises to support your progress. At times, I may suggest ‘homework’ to reinforce what we’ve discussed in our sessions, helping you apply these insights in your daily lives.
Each session is tailored to your needs, and I work with both of you to ensure the therapy process is collaborative, calm, and focused on what you would like to achieve.
